Saag Paneer
Ingredients
- 14 oz (400 g) paneer, cubed
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) oil or ghee
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) grated ginger
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 1 lb (500 g) spinach (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tsp (5 ml) garam masala
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) cumin
- 2/3 cup (150 ml) cream or yogurt
- Salt
Steps
- Brown paneer in 1 tbsp (15 ml) oil; set aside.
- Sauté onion, garlic, ginger, and chili; add spinach and spices; cook until wilted.
- Blend partly if desired; stir in cream and paneer; simmer 5 minutes. Season.
